Release Show
On November 6th, The Kate Effect are throwing an orgiastic release party, joined with long-time friends Atropas and Expellow. The event will be hosted by the fantastic people of Soundmanöver, so a massive party is guaranteed!
The Kate Effect:
After five years of sweat-drenched performances, endless practice and honing their songwriting skills The Kate Effect are now releasing their first EP, entitled Make Metal Kate Again. The Wädenswil-based trio is a get-what-you-see type of band: Relentless melodic death metal, combined with Hardcore and a sprinkle of electronic party music are distilled into a finely tuned mixture geared to rock your face off!
Make Metal Kate Again is the first step towards the band’s eventual plan of complete world domination – The Kate Effect is not a band, it’s a movement!
Atropas:
Atropas is a metal band from Zurich, Switzerland, formed in 2011. Having written songs together for a couple of years, Mahmoud Kattan and Philipp Tudor were looking for a bassist and drummer to fill in the remaining gaps: With Kevin Steiger and Gabriel Moser, the band was finally complete and good to go. Having decided to persue other endeavours, drummer Gabriel Moser decided to leave the band, of course on good terms. A close friend of Mahmoud’s, Sandro Chiaramonte, was invited to join the band. After a single week spent in the rehearsal spot, they played their first show in this new line up.
The band has been playing show after show ever since, sharing the stage with bands such as Nile, Skindred, Dreamshade, Mycelia, In Love Your Mother and many more.
2013 marked the time to record the first album, Azrael, finally released on 21. September 2013.
Heavily influenced by bands like Machine Head, Lamb Of God, Trivium, August Burns Red, Avenged Sevenfold, As I Lay Dying, Periphery and many more, Atropas combine everything into their own distinctive sound.
Expellow:
With their modern Metal, Expellow combine hard riffs and brutal breakdowns with melodic parts, and mad screams and growls with clean vocals in a fresh way that doesn’t sound like you’ve heard it a thousand times before. This ready-to-blow-up-mixture has already found fans from all kinds of genres and keeps on doing so. The female singer and the 4 guys from Zurich won’t whine around – the lyrics contain a solid dose of middlefinger, insanity and rebellion, that might also leave you questioning things.
